Once-famous late-Victorian dual-purpose plum

‘President’ will give marvellous fruit; dark purple and sweet with yellow flesh, ready for eating straight off the tree, but also thoroughly enjoyable when cooked. The tree itself will give beautiful white blossom in spring, and spend all seasons as a stunning centrepiece for your garden. The tree was introduced by Thomas Rivers in 1901 and was once a popular commercial variety. Ostensibly named President as it’s the best!
